This inscription is engraved on a white marble pillar found near the Ramanamma
tank at Ghantasala.

The inscribed pillar was found by Dr. Chhabra near the Ramaíamma tank at
Ghaíòasàla.

L 3. The form 'Vedika' occurs in Amaravati inscription (E. F. Luder's list nos.
1261, and 1219) with the personal name Dharhmavaniya. We may compare Budhi(và)niya
(in the ins. no. 11, line 2) of Appevalis-I.
