___________________________
The first half of the inscription has been restored with the aid of the
corresponding passage in other inscriptions.
L. 6. The second akshara (for Màäha[ri]putasa) may be either äa or äha; this
mutilated word can hardly be anything but bhayàya.
L. 7. The aksharas -huvuëa are damaged owing to a crack, but hu is still legible.
L. 8. Or should we read sava-jina-niyuto ? The akshara, following sava- is
certainly jà. In the other inscriptions we find savaniyuto.
L. 9. [. . . . . . Virapunaìbudhiía . (proper name ?) raão.—Ed.]
L. 10. The date appears to have been followed by a benedictory formula such as
sava-loka-hita-sukhàya.
