No. 110. Deupàòana, Paùupatinath, Chaíäeùvara Pillar Inscription
| A pillar of stone supporting a
parasol against which leans a naked image of Chaíäeùvara standing a little to the south
of the southern gate of the temple of Paùupati. The date is missing in the lines damaged.
The inscribed part is 21 cm wide and 75 cm long. The metre used is Sragdharà. (R) During the victorious reign of Jiøíugupta. Records the grant of the plots of land in different places by the Àchàrya Pranarddana Pràíakauùika to Varàhasvàmin, Dharmasoma, Chhatrasoma, and Khaddukas in the congregation of the Muídaùriêkhalika Pàùupatàchàrya for repairing the sanctuary of Chhatra Chaíäeùvara and water conduit in . . . kó (Bhatt.- . . . tàku)-gràma. |
