The present inscription is not included in the Luôder's list. West and Burgess atso have not noted it. It is in front of the Cave No. 2. just above the cistem. It is published by Nagaraju in the journal of the Epigraphical Society of India. It measures 2.38 m. x 99 cm. Letters 5.5 cm, x 4 cm. Characters: Bràhmè, 2nd century A.D. Language: Prakrit. Orthography: The conical letters are written in rounded shape and rounded letters are written in conical shape. (ShG) |
