Engraved on a pillar found on an elevated area locally called purdakàn, on the Sirsi-Yellapur road. This pillar, somewhat circular in shape, is broken, one portion of which, nearly 6' long and with a tapering end, is lying nearby. On the polished surface of the other portion is found inscription (Gopal).
